As the most original and classic form of the series, the pendant lamp is inspired by a "light sculpture suspended in mid-air." Designed to be a focal point in a space, its iconic geometry and adaptable shade structure define and embellish the space below it, whether it's a dining table, a living centerpiece, or a lounge area. This design explores how a lamp can influence the narrative of light and shadow throughout a space through its own form.

· Visual Focus of the Space: The pendant lamp's form naturally becomes the focal point. Its signature metal ring embraces rotatable hemispherical lampshades, creating a clear structure and a strong geometric sense. Its inspiration lies in "making classics travelable," transcending the limitations of iconic design that restricts it to a fixed location. The designers considered how to make this classic, sculptural piece of art freely available in any corner of the home, from desk to bedside, from windowsill to outdoor terrace, a portable companion for light and shadow.

3. Designer's creative monologue
"When I first conceived the Multi-Lite series, the purest exploration of light immediately came to mind. I wanted to create more than just lighting tools; I envisioned them as art pieces that could interact with the space and the user, flexibly adapting to different needs.
The initial inspiration stemmed from a fascination with geometric forms-perfect spheres and rings. I believed that the texture of metal could best interpret these pure forms. Therefore, I chose metal and acrylic as the primary materials. They not only lend an elegant luster to the lamps but, more importantly, can reveal different light and shadow effects through surface treatment.
The core design of the Multi-Lite Pendant Light lies in its two rotatable semi-spherical shades. I imagined that a pendant light shouldn't just cast light downwards in one direction. With a clever connecting structure, these two metal semi-spheres can freely rotate, meaning the light can be precisely guided. When fully closed, the light spills softly from below, creating a warm ambiance; when they open outwards, or even separate vertically, the light diffuses more broadly, simultaneously creating unique light spots on the inner metal surface. This layered effect is achieved by combining metal with acrylic. Each rotation is a redefinition of the light's mood, allowing the user to become the orchestrator of light. I wanted it to be like a suspended sculpture, casting captivating shadows in the air, whether open or closed.
The Multi-Lite Portable Table Lamp (Built-in Battery), on the other hand, is an extension of this design philosophy, but with a greater emphasis on portability and intimacy. The table lamp version retains the core rotating function of the pendant light, but its structure has been streamlined and optimized. I considered its purpose as a desk lamp, so the base needed to be stable yet delicate, with the glow of metal reflecting a soft halo on the desktop. Its height and size were carefully considered to easily integrate into various desktop environments, be it a study, bedside, or a corner of the living room. Portability is another key feature; I envisioned people moving it freely to wherever light was needed, freeing light from fixed locations.
For me, these two lamps are more than just functional products; they are a dialogue between light and form, function and aesthetics, tradition and modernity. Every curve of the metal, every crisp sound of rotation, represents my ultimate pursuit of detail and quality. I hope they can transcend time, become classics, and in different spaces, illuminate people's lives with their unique metallic luster and shifting light and shadows."
