How to read a finish.
Two things decide most choices. Know them, and picking – and matching room to room – gets easy.
Warm tone vs. cool tone
Easy to mix up.
Polished Nickel
Warm – a hint of gold in the silver. Softer, more traditional.
Polished Chrome
Cool – bright and faintly blue. The more modern pick.
How much patina
How aged your brass should look.
Natural
True matte gold. Deepens naturally over time.
Vintage
Even patina, refined – never blotchy.
Antiqued
Heavily weathered, blackened detail. Looks well-loved.
The Stainless Steel Series
Thirteen coated stainless finishes.
PVD-coated stainless steel – engineered for color stability and a harder-wearing surface than plated brass. Mirror and brushed pairs across gold, rose gold, chrome white, and gunmetal, plus two anti-fingerprint coatings built for daily handling.
This series is produced by electroplating (PVD) – a color coating applied over stainless steel, distinct from the oxidation process used for finishes 01–17.
