This Lyric Pendant features a precision-engineered aluminum alloy frame draped in a rhythmic series of acoustic felt fins. These architectural facets are designed not only to create a striking visual pattern but to actively trap sound waves, reducing reverberation in open spaces. The integrated diffuser provides a soft, flicker-free glow, making it the perfect focal point for a high-stakes boardroom, a lively modern dining room, or a focused home office. What materials is this pendant made from?
Softer light. Softer sound.
Pendant lamps built from dense acoustic felt — a material designed to soften hard reflections in a room, not just cast light over it.
Felt, next to the usual suspects.
Metal and glass are the default pendant materials for a reason — but they don't do anything for a room's sound. Here's how felt compares.

From sharp reflection
to softened sound.
Dense, felted fiber doesn't block sound — it absorbs part of it. Sound waves that would otherwise bounce cleanly off a hard ceiling lose energy passing through and around the felt shade.
Felt, in six tones.
Made from pressed felt fiber — a soft-touch material with real texture, spanning quiet neutrals to bolder statement colors. Tap a color to preview it.
Rooms that echo, softened.
Hard floors, high ceilings, and open floor plans all bounce sound around a room. Acoustic felt absorbs part of that reflection instead of adding to it.
Open-plan kitchens
Hard countertops and tall ceilings send sound bouncing across an open kitchen and living space.
Home office calls
A bare desk area can add a noticeable echo to video calls — felt overhead helps soften it.
High-ceiling rooms
Tall, hard-surfaced rooms amplify every footstep and conversation. Felt brings some of that back down.
